Today, I just wanted to put a little information out on child development. It always amazes me when I meet a parent who knows absolutely nothing about how their child grows and develops!
But, in my line of work, I do meet more than you'd think! So here goes:
29.9% of the population are between the ages of 25 and 44. So, this is the age group with which you’ll most commonly be working. Then it goes to 22.2% being between the ages of 45 and 64; then 13.1% being between 5-13; then 12.7% being age 65 or older; 9.6% being between the ages of 12-24; then 6.9 % under the age of 5; and finally 5.7% being 14-17. The niche that you choose, will usually determine the age group that you will be working with.
It helps to relate to people better if you know a little bit about human development and psychology. Our genetics make up half of “us”. Our chromosomes determine if we will be a boy or a girl.
Genes are carried on chromosomes. Normal human beings have 23 pairs of chromosomes.
So, that's your information for today!
Have a good one!
